As part of the celebrations of the Financial Inclusion Week – FIW, a lecture for young university students on the theme: Personal Finance Management took place on October 21, 2019 at 17h00 at the Eduardo Mondlane University – UEM Innovation Space. The opening act was chaired by Moise Inguane, FSDMoç Operations Director and the lecture was given by Domingos Novela, Personal Finance Consultant.
The event brought key concepts about the value of money and taken the key aspects to the sound financial management of personal resources. With a significant participation of more than 50 young university students, it was a very dynamic, interactive event with a lot of audience participation. “I really enjoyed the lecture, it’s very educational. One of the lessons I have had is that we must learn to save and we must set a goal for our savings because as the phrase goes “If you don’t know where you want to go any way will do” said one of the young student who attended the workshop.
As you may know, the Financial Inclusion Week (FIW) is taking place from 21-31 October where global conversations about the most important steps to advance financial inclusion are debated. FSDMoç has participated in these initiatives since 2016 and has been engaged in the dissemination and facilitation of commemorative events in Mozambique. With the theme, “Financial Inclusion: For What” FSDMoç offered to the university students yesterday with this important lecture and has scheduled for October 23, 2019 another event with the University Students, where it expects more students from other universities to join; The event will take place at the UEM Pedagogical Complex amphitheater at 3:00 pm. Other activities will take place with the players from the financial system and the Financial Inclusion week will culminate in the celebration of International Savings Day on 31 October 2019.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
