FSDMOÇ RECEIVED ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM SWEDISH INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION AGENCY (SIDA).
The Financial Sector Deepening Mozambique (FSDMoç) informs the general public that has received an additional £3.5 million in funding from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). The £3.5 million infusion will supplement the £13 million in funding provided by Department for International Development (DFID-UK), and will be used to advance the objectives of FSDMoç in strengthening Mozambique’s financial sector and supporting beneficiaries of expanded service offerings.
In particular, the cooperation agreement between SIDA and DFID will enable FSDMoç to pursue an expanded mandate: deepening its work in digital financial services by building the digital ecosystem at the Macro, Meso, and Micro levels; stimulating the inclusive insurance sector; and exploring housing finance.
This vote of confidence from a second donor is recognition of the successful implementation of the program and the opportunities created by the FSDMoç team.
