Esselina joined FSDMoç. after a 10-year career at the Central Bank of Mozambique where she was an Executive Director, Payments Systems, and Board Member. She led the drafting of the National financial inclusion strategy. Esselina is a Associate Professor at the Eduardo Mondlane University. She has extensive experience in information and communication technology – ICT, payments systems, financial inclusion and currency management. She holds a Doctoral Degree (PhD), in Information Technologies by University of Pretoria, in South Africa in 2003; she also has a Master Degree (MSc) in Analysis, Design and Management of Information System by London School of Economics and Political Science of the University of London.
